Observations take place inside the classroom in order to determine the nature of the concerning behavior.  Depending on who is requesting the services, staff and or the parents are provided with an individualized plan of action, resources, and recommendations moving forward.

A meeting with the parents/guardians and child care center staff to discuss behavior concerns including an appropriate next steps.  

Training Sessions and Workshops.

 

This service is provided to help with employee in service hours on topics such as but not limited to self-injury and suicide, hyperactivity, aggression, maternal depression, and Adult Mental Health First Aid.

 

 

For graduate level counselors only

 

Professional service for new graduate level therapists working towards independent licensure. You are provided with guidance and support, help with case conceptualization, and specific interventions.  Supervisees are also assisted on coping with counter transference, heavy emotional issues presented by clients, and development of professional identity. 

 

Teletherapy

Teletherapy is the use of video or audio technologies to deliver mental health services. It works pretty much in the same way as the traditional face to face method and are confidential and HIPPA compliant. The main difference is the therapist and client are not in the same room. Flourish offers the opportunity to participate in telethetapy services wherever you are using your phone or computer to help with maintaining regulary appointments.    

Teletherapy with Kids

It may sound difficult but virtual and audio session are possible and effective with kids. One the perks of using this method is sessions often happen in one of of the child’s natural environments, home. the carry over of functional skills in a It allows your child to wait comfortably in their own home, eliminates the stress of travel, and provides more flexibility. With the added worry of exposure to COVID-19, being able to keep their regular appointment gives your child a safe space to express their feelings about all of these changes. Teletherapy sessions will often include activities that require supplies. Please click here for a list of commonly used supplies to have at hand.
